Enterprise mobility & security
Microsoft Intune is part of Microsoft Endpoint Manager. It is a cloud-based device management tool that provides mobile device management and mobile application management. You can control how your organisations devices are used, including Apple iOS and Android phones and tablets, Apple MacBooks and Windows based laptops.
Why choose intune?
With Intune you can manage your devices in a way that is right for you. For corporate-owned devices, you will likely want full control including settings, security and features. In this approach, devices are “enrolled” in Intune.
For personal devices, or BYOD, users probably won’t want IT administrators to have full control. In this instance you can give the users options. For example, users enrol their devices if they want full access to the organisation. Or, if they only need access to email or Microsoft Teams, they can opt to have app protection policies that require MFA to use them.
When apps are managed in Intune, administrators can add, assign, configure and remove them from their Intune management console. They can also see reports on which apps are used and track their usage.
Intune integrates directly with Azure AD to enable a whole set of access control capabilities. For example, require mobile devices to be compliant with organization standards defined in Intune before accessing network resources, such as email or SharePoint.
Similarly, you can lock down services so they’re only available to a specific set of mobile apps. For example, you can lock down Exchange Online so it’s only accessed by Outlook or Outlook Mobile.
Keep your organisations data safe with effective mobile device management.
